Spring around Chappell Hill

Kaaren and I started from Katy on Saturday looking for wildflowers.  On the route to Chappell Hill, we encountered fog, clouds, wind and a mist.  So our vision of sunshine and bright wildflowers was not fulfilled for a few hours.  Life is full of the unexpected.

We were surrounded by fog at Galveston today.  These rocks were slippery but the colors were inviting.

Architects of Air

Many people were at Discovery Green enjoying the sunshine and the Architects of Air.  My first thoughts were to capture the structure and keep people from walking through my photos.  Then I realized that without the people, this becomes just another structure. Sometimes three generations were enjoying a color zone. Hopefully, this shows the carefree, fun times had by all.

Fog and Smoke

Kaaren and I were driving downtown in the fog when we spotted this house surrounded by ashes. The smell of smoke still lingered in the debris giving the scene a surreal feel.

Town in fog

Rain and fog prevailed for the weekend downtown.

Museum of Fine Arts

After battling traffic and parking, I made my way inside amongst the kiddies.  Then as usual I became lost in the Greek and Roman period.
